Recent work

Jackie has worked with various mediums throughout her artistic journey, primarily focusing on sculpting and painting as well as encaustic multi media works. She finds sculpting to be the most challenging and the most rewarding. Jackie primarily uses Winterstone (cement - like product that is very durable and strong )as her sculpting medium.

Inspired by the human form

Jackie Betel worked as a psychologist as such has a special interest in human behaviours and emotions . 

Her observations of people in everyday life inspire her artwork. Her work often emerges as part of a series, whereby multiple works reveal themselves organically as a result of one point of inspiration.
